Sustainably sourced seafood behind West Cork product range

A west cork partnerhship has launched ready-to-eat fish cakes and pies made from responsibly sourced local fish.

Monica Buckley (DC Fish) and Peter Shanahan (Fish Seafood Deli) are well recognised in the seafood sector. Last year, DC Fish was honoured as BIM 'Fishing Enterprise of the Year' and Peter Shanahan was a finalist in the BIM 'Young Fishmonger of the Year' competition.
The 'Fresh Fish Deli' range is stocked in SuperValu stores in Munster and will be rolled out nationwide throughout 2017.
"We're delighted to be taking part in Supervalu's Food Academy and to work with BIM's Seafood Innovation Academy, who are assisting us with another new product concept," remarked Monic Buckley.
DC Fish operates a seafood business model that offers a 'frozen at sea' product range and supplies fresh fish directly to hotels and restaurants.
