Two awards: 'Supermarket Seafood Counter' and 'Independent Seafood Specialist' focuses on fishmongering skillsets and demand excellent seafood knowledge, strong technical preparation skills, coupled with 'outstanding customer service'.
The inaugural business retail award is open to supermarket managers and independent fishmongers, and will recognise business models that clearly demonstrate a strong business acumen that sets them apart.
The winner of the young fishmonger award will receive a specially-designed trophy and PR support, and will participate in a two-day cookery course at the Rick Stein Cookery School in Padstow, Cornwall.
Winners of the seafood business retail award will receive a prized worth €15,000 including a brand review audit, PR training and support, and access to business experts covering HR to financial advice.
